About Andrea ...and her horses
Andrea has been riding since her teenage years. At age 20, she achieved her first international placement in an FEI Dressage class, Intermediaire I. For three years, she managed to go to medical school while riding and training dressage horses at the same time.
She has been training horses and teaching for nearly 20 years, and has brought several horses to Grand Prix level, the last of which was Paritjaett, 15-year old Russian gelding with which she now has placed several times in Grand Prix level competitions.
Andrea specializes in Piaffe training. She developed her own very sensitive and motivating method of training dressage while

achieving high levels of performance.
In her dressage training she also draws from her experiences as a former Track and Field competitor where she learned principles of sports psychology and methodology. In 1996, an Olympic year, she was ranked among Germany's Top 10 100m sprinters. Thanks to several years in medical school she also has an in-depth understanding of physiology, which does not only benefit the horse but also the riders she trains.
Andrea currently trains and teaches in Germany and greatly enjoys teaching students and training their horses world wide, especially in the US, where her gentle methods are even more appreciated. She holds Spring Training session at Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center in Orange County, CA, and clinics at High Point Farm near Atlanta, GA.
When writing about Andrea we must not forget to introduce to you her own horses, their peculiar background and the wonderful life they now have with Andrea (or their new owner).
