PHILOSOPHY
A Word from Andrea: I believe that riding is like dancing. As such, the horse and rider are a team and must trust that they can rely on one another. Only with good communication can partners execute even the most advanced movements. This teamwork allows harmony as the two glide effortlessly as if a single unit.
That's why I think challenging a horse beyond it's ability and instilling fear are counter-productive and will never happen during my training.
Over time, horses have taught me that any horse shines when it's ridden correctly and with emphaty. I have even been blesse to find that almost every poorly ridden, over-pressured, fearful

character, wrongly muscled or overly sensitive horse can become an amazing "dance partner".
I take the time necessary to get to KNOW the horses in my care. By learning a horse's individual personality, I am able to build a foundation for teamwork and bring out the joy in a horse's relationship with humans, living circumstances as well as his/her work.
In addition tho training the horses I have in full training, I like dedicating a signifanct amount of time to helping clients who request lessons, and I get great joy from being invited for clinics and see the smile on riders (and horses) faces every time they have the breakthrough.
It is the greatest feeling for me when I get to witness a horserider team happily interacting with one another thanks to the classical yet emphatic training I've been able to share with them. And it's particularly rewarding when my competitive clients come home from a successful show. It validates my philosophy through an impartial, highly educated third pary, the Dressage Judge.
